To collapse an outline to make more room to work in, or to get a bigger view of your slide:
1. Click the ‘Outline’ tab
2. Right-click on any slide that has a list, a submenu will appear on your screen.
Move the pointer of your mouse down to the ‘Collapse’ button, and then across to the ‘Collapse’ command, and Click on it.
PowerPoint will collapse all the list items on that slide, as seen in the diagram below.
You can also collapse more than one slide at a time by selecting them, then applying the ‘Collapse’ command using steps 1 – 3 above.
To expand an Outline:
1. Click the Outline tab (the steps are similar to collapsing an Outline)
2. Right-click on the collapse slide/s you want to expand – Click the ‘Expand’ command – See the diagrams below.
You can click the ‘Expand all’ command if you want more than one collapsed slide to expand.
