1. Select the cells you want to merge
I have selected cells A2 and B2, see the diagram below.
2. Click on the ‘Home’ tab, see the diagram below
3. Click on the down arrow next to the ‘Merge & Center’ command
A drop down box will appear with several options
4. Choose the merge cells command
5. You can now type whatever text you want into this cell.
