How to keep text together in Microsoft Word 2007 – 2010. Sometimes text from specific paragraphs may go over into another page; when you would like it to stay together on one page.

In the first diagram below you will see that some of the text in SECTION 4 spilled over into the following page. See the Diagram below for more explanation.

…to bring all the text from under SECTION 4 together on the same page. This is what you would have to do.

1. Select the text you want to have on the same page. See diagram above. 

2. Under the ‘Paragraph’ Group – Click the Dialog box launcher

3. The ‘Paragraph’ Dialog Box will appear on your screen – Click the ‘Line and Breaks’ tab.

4. Click on the boxes next to the words ‘keep with next’ and ‘keep lines together’ – Make sure they have tick in them, as seen in the following diagram.

Click the ‘OK’ button
