1. To enter a date or time into a cell, just select the cell you want to enter a date or time in by clicking on it. A black border will surround the cell you selected. See the Diagram above.
2. Next, just type the date or time you want to enter into the cell. Excel also displays the date or time you typed in the formula bar.
3. When you are done press the ‘Enter’ key on your computer keyboard
Excel inserts the date or time you had typed into the cell.
