How to apply Text Effects

 

Select the text you want to format.

Click the ‘Home’ tab.

Then click the small down arrow next to the Text Effects command – see the diagram below.

The text effects library will appear on the screen.

Click on the text effect you want to apply.

Word will make the changes for you.

 

The Text Effects offered by Word includes:

  • Shadows – There are 4 Shadow effects available: No Shadow, Outer Shadow, Inner Shadow & Perspective. See the diagram below to observe what happened to selected text when I scrolled the pointer of my mouse over the ‘Offset center‘ shadow effect.
